About New Tex Trucking

About Us

We supply innovative and leading-edge fluid logistics and solutions for our customers/producers in the Permian and Barnett Basins. These solutions are, amongst others, supported by vast experience and knowledge, an unrelentless pursuit of safety in all operations, a drive to be financially sustainable, and a focus on acting local while thinking global.

Long term initiatives play a prominent role within New Tex from the movement of produced water to the disposal of fluids through one of our owned and/or operated salt water disposal facilities. The basis of the operation was formed in the early 70’s in the Permian Basin and has expanded through multiple entities over the years. The headquarters is centrally located in Lubbock, Texas.

How it Started

New Tex Trucking was created in 2017 to serve the energy business in the Permian Basin which was underserved by quality trucking companies with (1) experienced people, (2) a focus on safety, (3) proper financial strength and (4) operations managed locally-close to the production.  New Tex was formed by a family that has other oilfield service companies that have operated in the Permian Basin since the early 1970s.

With the opportunity to attract experienced people including management team members of long-time established water hauling companies in Bridgeport and Cleburne, Texas in 2018, we entered the Barnett Shale Basin and now have an executive team comprised of individuals with over 150 years of combined experience in the energy field, primarily water hauling, transfer and disposal.

We are able to provide all elements needed to handle a producers water disposition needs from vac trucks and trailers, water transfer equipment including lay flat pipe and pumps, and pipelines, to Salt Water Disposal Facilities (SWDs) owned and operated by New Tex or commonly owned companies.  This makes us somewhat unique in being able to take produced water from production or drilling/completion all the way to disposal under the regulatory oversight of the Railroad Commission in Texas and the OCD (Oil Conservation District) in New Mexico in a safe, efficient manner.  We are as close to a “one stop shop” for oilfield waste water as there is.

Our Thinking

Safety is paramount to seeing that our team members return home each day without incidents or injury and seeing that we serve our customers in a safe manner without injury or damage to their people or property.  Our Safety Department is led by an experienced manager that knows the water transportation and disposal business, and has the proper knowledge and authority to ensure adequate training and adherence to federal and state requirements.

Our financial management and strength allow us to attract the right experienced team members by providing employment opportunity benefits not often available with many of our competitors.  In addition, it allows us to operate mainly new and late model equipment that is maintained regularly for safe operation without breakdowns, avoiding disruption to the service our customers expect.  For example, the year models of our vac trucks range from 2015 to 2019.

Our yards run by area managers, place us in the optimal locations to meet our customer’s needs.  This ensures our experienced leadership is close to the action for timely decision making to ensure quality service.
